Comox Valley Pride - Make Pride Alive


bbq-familyComox Valley Pride will be hosting a Family BBQ on Saturday August 27th from 12:00pm – 4:00pm at Simms Memorial Park in Courtenay.  This event is a fundraiser to meet the needs of funding to support the future of the organization, future activities including the Bill Swales memorial bursary fund and become a valued support group for LGBTQ+ in our community. Entertainment will include the Kumugwe Dancers from the K’omox First Nation, singer/songwriter Alannah Clark and Monica Hofer’s Rhythm Spirit Drummers.  Children’s activities will include Bouncy Castle, Balloon Shaper, Clowns and other activities.  We will be selling hamburgers, veggie burgers, hotdogs, pop, chips and water.  You can also purchase your very own “Make Pride Alive” T-shirts.  They are available in both “White” and “Black”.  Sizes are limited.
The costs are as follows:
Hamburger/Veggie Burger, chip and drink combo – $5.00
